DENCO cable protectors (CP) are fuses for underground power line distribution, used to isolate faults quickly and increase the reliability of service entrance and distribution runs. They are rated by cable size and material, copper or aluminum, from size 2 up to 1000kcmil, and conform to NBR IEC 60269-1.

Cable sizes listed are 2, 1/0, 2/0, 4/0, 250kcmil, 350kcmil, 400kcmil, 500kcmil, 600kcmil, 750kcmil and 1000kcmil. Mounting types on p.134 are C1 cable to cable, C3 offset bus to cable, C5 offset bus to bus, C6 mole to cable and C8 offset bus to mole. The catalog prints a time-current curve (pre-arcing time) for the range.
Because cable protectors are rated in terms of cable size and conductor material rather than amperes alone, specify both the cable size and whether it is copper or aluminum when ordering. DENCO also makes custom fuses to customer specifications and dimensions.
