Capacitor Protection Fuses Types 1 to 9, 1kV to 5.5kV AC
DENCO's low and medium voltage capacitor protection fuses are catalogued by maximum AC voltage and Type number, from 1kV to 5.5kV. Ratings run from 25A to 200A at 1kV to 2.5kV, 50A to 175A at 3kV, 6A to 100A at 4.3kV and 6A to 75A at 5.5kV. All are high interrupting capacity, current-limiting fuses designed to ANSI C37-41 specs.

Interrupting rating rises with voltage: 40kA symmetrical at 1.5kV (40kA to 50kA for the 1kV and 1.5kV Types 3 and 4), 50kA symmetrical at 2.5kV and 3kV, and 65kA symmetrical at 4.3kV and 5.5kV. The Type number identifies the design within each voltage class. Types 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 appear at 1.5kV, Types 1, 3 and 5 at 2.5kV, Types 1, 2 and 6 at 3kV, and Types 7, 8 and 9 at 4.3kV and 5.5kV.
Ampere ranges differ by Type even within one voltage: at 1.5kV, Type 5 starts at 50A while Types 1 and 2 start at 25A. The catalog also lists Type EJ-5 / EJO-5 capacitor protection fuses on p.75. Every page notes that DENCO can design these fuses to customer specifications.
